Basis for the calculation

The data provided by the calculator is for information only, however it gives you an idea of what could be the size of your monthly payments for the car lease.

The possible monthly payments for the car lease are calculated on the following assumptions:

  • vehicle price, including VAT - %PRICE% EUR
  • financing amount - %LOAN_AMOUNT% EUR
  • down payment - %DOWN_PAYMENT% EUR
  • residual value - %RESIDUAL_VALUE% EUR
  • loan period - %PERIOD% years
  • floating interest rate - the interest rate varies on case-to-case basis, in the example - %TOTAL_INTEREST% % (%INTEREST% % + %EURIBOR% % 6 months' Euribor), the rate set out in your agreement may change every 6 months
  • contract fee - %FEE% EUR
  • the cost of credit - %TOTAL% EUR
  • annual percentage rate (APR*) - %GPL% %

*Annual percentage rate - Total cost of the credit expressed as the annual percentage of the credit amount or the maximum credit limit.

For buying a new or a second-hand car

Favourable interest rate for eco-friendly cars from 1.49% + 6-mon. Euribor.

  • Interest rate for brand new cars – 2.29% + 6-month Euribor

Example of the costs: if you take out a 5-year finance lease to buy a car for 25 000 EUR and make a down payment of 15% of the purchase price (3750 EUR), the amount financed is 21 250 EUR, the interest rate applied is 2.29% + 6M Euribor (Euribor value on 22.04.2025 – 2.179%), and the fee – 1.5% of the car’s purchase price, then the monthly payment will be 396 EUR and the annual percentage rate (APR) – 5.38%. Total amount repayable – 24 123.40 EUR (excluding the down payment).

-20% for CASCO insurance if the leasing application is filled out via Internet Banking.

Offer valid until 31.12.2025.

The discount will be applied to the insurance premium for 12 months from the moment of entry into the contract. The discount cannot be combined with other discounts applied.

  • You become the owner of the car at the end of the lease agreement.
  • Most commonly used for buying a new car.
  • At the end of the lease period, the car is returned to the car dealer, as a result of which your monthly payments will be lower during the lease period. (essentially, long-term car rental)

  1. When you’ve found a vehicle that suits you, fill out the car lease application via Internet Banking or at the car dealership.
  2. Bank employee will contact you.
  3. Sign the agreement via Internet Banking and make the down payment. New lending transactions may be concluded via Internet Banking between 7 AM and 10 PM. Automated aggregation and registration of data on transactions concluded during the day takes place after 10 PM and, pursuant to the Consumer Rights Protection Law, it is prohibited to enter into consumer lending contracts during night time until 7 AM.
  4. Register the vehicle in the name of the lessor at the CSDD.
  5. The car must have CASCO and MTPL insurance. If you take out insurance with Swedbank P&C Insurance AS, you can have a single monthly payment covering both the lease and CASCO policy.
  • Loan amount from 10 000 EUR.
  • Repayment period of up to 7 years.
  • Down payment starting from 10%.
  • CASCO insurance mandatory.
  • Interest rate from 2.29% + 6 months Euribor.
  • Agreement fee 1.5% of the price of the car (min. 150 EUR).
  • Monthly income after taxes at least 700 EUR, together with a co-applicant at least 1200 EUR.

If you choose an electric car, a small-engine car or a hybrid car, you get special conditions.

When buying a new or used car with CO2 emissions at or below 50 g/km*:

  • Interest rate – 1.49% + 6M Euribor
  • CASCO Insurance with a 10% discount during the first year

Buying a new car with CO2 emissions of 51-130 g/km*:

  • Interest rate – 1.89% + 6M Euribor
  • CASCO Insurance with a 10% discount during the first year

Effective from 01.09.2022.
  • If you wish to pay off the remaining lease amount or sell the vehicle before the contract end date, fill out an application here.
  • After discharging the lease obligations, you can register the vehicle with CSDD in your or buyer’s name. You are entitled to a reduction of the total costs under your finance lease agreement (not applicable to operating lease agreements) if the obligations have been performed in full on early basis. You can apply for a reduction of the total costs by sending an Internet Banking message to the bank after full early performance of your obligations.
  • When the agreement expires, we will start the vehicle ownership transfer process in CSDD’s e-services.
  • SMS text message will be sent to the registered phone number and when you receive it you can go to CSDD to re-register the car in your own name.
  • Agreement extension. Once the application is filled out, we will offer you the most suitable solution for financing the residual value and will prepare a new payment schedule. If the residual value is below 7000 EUR, we will offer you a car loan. Fill out an application here.
  • Paying off residual value. After filling out the application, you will receive an invoice - once it’s been paid, you can go CSDD and re-register the vehicle in your own name. Fill out an application here.
  • Returning the vehicle. The car on lease must be made available for inspection to the car dealer no later than 1 month before end of the agreement.
  • After making the last payment, the respective information will be entered in CSDD database. On the day when the information is provided, you will receive a text message and from this moment you will have five calendar days to re-register the vehicle in your name. To perform other operations at the CSDD, fill out an application here.
  • Check the insurance contract end date when the lease agreement expires.

The following amendments can be made to the lease agreement:

Authorization for using a vehicle on lease

  • The authorization is not mandatory for using the vehicle in Latvia and other European Union countries.
  • The authorization is required for using the vehicle outside the European Union countries.

If you plan to go to with the car or motorcycle on lease to Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iran, Macedonia, Morocco, Moldova, Montengro, Serbia,Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine or drive such a vehicle in any of these countries, then you need to purchase Green card. Before you travel make sure that your CASCO insurance is valid in the country you are travelling or plan to cross.
