Application for receiving power of attorney for departure

Don’t forget the authorization letter when going abroad!

If you plan to go to a foreign country with a car on lease, you may need a letter of authorization, or power of attorney, for going abroad. Whether or not such an authorization letter is required is stipulated in legislation of the country in question. In order to find out what rules and regulations apply to your country of destination, we suggest contacting the embassy of the specific country.

  • The authorization to go abroad is mandatory for going to CIS countries and Russia
  • Before you travel make sure that your CASCO insurance is valid in the country you are travelling or plan to cross. Vehicle Insurance Requirements
  • The authorization is prepared within one business day

If you’re the lessee and you have access to Swedbank Internet Banking, log on to Internet Banking and fill out the application for preparing the authorization letter.

If you don’t have access to Swedbank Internet Banking, write an application and take the original to any Swedbank branch.
