Open the Swedbank app and tap on “Cards”.
Choose the card you want to add to Google Pay and tap on it.
Ensure contactless payments are allowed and enabled for this card.
Tap on “Add to Google Pay”.
Set Google Pay as the default contactless payment option in the Swedbank app settings or in the device settings.
That’s it! Now you can pay with your smartphone using Google Pay.

Important!

Adding a card to Google Pay doesn't disable the Swedbank mobile contactless payment feature. With Google Pay set as default, you can use Swedbank app to pay with your phone manually (by tapping on “Pay with this Card”).

Install Google Pay. Open the app, then tap on “Add a card or payment method“.
Choose “Debit or credit card“.
Read and accept terms and conditions.
Tap on “Continue“ to receive a confirmation SMS. Your phone number must be verified and linked to your internet banking, under “Contact information“.
Input the control code from SMS and your card will be added (when your card is successfully added, it will we shown on the first screen in Google Pay app).
Make Google Pay your default payment app if you wish to pay with Google Pay by default.

Card user can add additional cards to Google Pay. The only requirement is to have a verified phone number which is linked to your internet banking.

Mobile contactless payments are quick and easy!

You can pay with Google Pay anywhere you see the contactless payments symbol contactless. To make contactless payments, turn on NFC in the smartphone settings.

Unlock your smartphone.
To pay, hold your smartphone close to the card terminal.

Card payment limits apply.

For payment with another card added to Google Pay: open Google Wallet, select card (by swiping cards to the left or right) and tap POS terminal.

Only one card can be set as the default card. If you want to use a different card as a default, you can change it in the Swedbank app under "Cards".

Google Pay is available for Android devices using operating system Android 5.0 or above.

Use GoogePay in watches that are using at least Watch OS 3.

Remember!

To use Google Pay, you need to have an active Swedbank Mastercard card with enabled contactless payments (enable/disable in Internet Banking or the Swedbank app).

Enable Google Pay only on your own device. Do not share your mobile device.
Do not use a weak password or a weak pattern for your screen lock.
Update the software on your mobile device regularly.
Have an anti-virus app installed.
Use official app stores only. Even if you do use official app stores, stay vigilant. Read reviews and feedback about the app you want to download before installing it.
If you lose your device or it is stolen, disable Swedbank services on the device via the Internet Bank or by calling 67444 444.

When using Google Pay your payment is protected with multiple layers of security so you can pay with peace of mind – all the time.

Purchases, just like all card purchases, are covered by the bank’s protection against fraud, so you can shop stress-free.
