To ensure that shopping online is safe, activate the internet shopping option by logging in to your Internet Banking user profile. Online purchases can be confirmed with Smart-ID, PIN calculator or eID card if the online store has joined the secure shopping system MasterCard SecureCode. Find out more about online shopping here.

You can pay for purchases of up to EUR 50 by simply holding the card against the card reader. One beep and you’re good to go! You can enable and disable this feature via Internet Banking or our mobile app. You can also pay for everyday purchases with a smartphone or a smart watch. E-wallets supported: Apple Pay, Mobile contactless payments (Android), Fitbit Pay, Garmin Pay

To be eligible for a Swedbank ISIC card, the person needs to be at least 6 years old and study at an educational institution accredited in Latvia.

The card can be ordered by the child’s parent or legal guardian.

If the child already has an account in Swedbank, then the card can be ordered here. To open a bank account and apply for a payment card for your child, book a visit to any Swedbank branch at a time most convenient for you. You must visit the branch together with the child. You will need to bring your passport or ID card, as well as the child’s birth certificate or a certified copy of the birth certificate, or the child’s passport, if you have one.

You can order the card yourself via Internet Banking or at any Swedbank branch.

If you already have an account with Swedbank, you can apply for the card on the Internet Banking site under Cards. If you’re not our customer yet, please book a visit to any Swedbank branch at a time most convenient for you to open a bank account and apply for a Swedbank ISIC card. Make sure to bring your passport or eID card with you when visiting our branch!

Production fee/first year’s annual fee and next years’ annual fee. The fee is debited automatically from account upon activation of the card. If the card is renewed, the next years’ annual fee is charged on 31 December.

  • We want online shopping to be safe for you. To shop online, activate this feature for each of your Swedbank cards separately. Find out more about secure internet shopping.
  • Before buying anything, make sure that the online retailer is trustworthy and safe.
  • Try to find out more about the retailer. Every website must contain information about the company – its name and location, as well as the e-mail address and phone number you can use to get in touch in case of any problems. The terms and conditions regarding delivery, returns and warranty must also be clear, as well as the procedure for lodging complaints. Don’t fall for discounts that seem too good to be true.
  • Unless you shop online frequently, we suggest activating the Internet shopping option only at the time of making the purchase.
  • You can protect your funds by setting usage limits suitable for you. You can set individual limits for purchases, as well as cash and payment transactions.
  • The usage limits can be changed on the Internet Banking site under “My cards” or via Swedbank mobile app.
  • If necessary, the limits can also be temporarily increased.
  • Along with the bank card, you will also receive a PIN that will be known to you only.
  • Memorize the PIN. Don’t write it down on the card or anywhere else where somebody could see it.
  • Don’t reveal the PIN to bank employees or anyone else.
  • Try to enter the PIN in a way that nobody else could see it because the card can be stolen and used by another person. You as a customer hold responsibility for any purchase made with your stolen card that has been confirmed with the PIN.
  • Immediately change the PIN if you suspect that somebody else knows it. You must also change the PIN if you get a message from the bank saying that you need to change the PIN. This is possible at any Swedbank ATM.
  • When choosing the new PIN, don't use any old PIN. Don’t use the same PIN for several cards.
  • When you pay by card, do not let the person serving you take the card out of your sight as the card data can be stolen.
  • If you lose the card, block it immediately in the Swedbank mobile app, or call the Consultation Centre and ask the card to be closed.
  • Do not send your card number by post or reveal it via the phone to anyone because your card data could be used by somebody for fraudulent transactions.
  • Be careful when using other bank ATMs. Make sure you have collected your bank card and the requested amount of cash before you leave the ATM.
  • When you pay by card, always double-check that the amount is correct before making the purchase. Also, try to regularly check previous card transactions in your Internet Banking user account or the Swedbank mobile app. If a transaction seems suspicious, contact the bank.
