Currency exchange - SPOT

For everyday currency exchange

The currency exchange service, or foreign exchange (FX) spot transaction, allows the customer to exchange one currency into other currency at the bank’s exchange rate. If your company’s currency exchange transactions are worth more than 7000 EUR and if the transactions are regular (several times per quarter), you can carry out the exchange via Internet Banking in the Traderoom section or over the phone through Swedbank’s currency dealers by entering into agreements for financial market transactions and the Traderoom Use Agreement.

After signing the agreements, your company will have the SPOT transaction feature enabled on the Internet Banking site and a password for conducting transactions over the phone will be issued; your identity will be verified before concluding every transaction. The foreign exchange transaction comes into force when the notification "transaction concluded successfully" is shown after confirming the transaction via Internet Banking or when the counterparties have agreed on the terms of the transaction (the phone call recording will serve as proof of the terms of transactions entered into verbally). The transaction will be recorded in your company’s accounts within 20 minutes after concluding it.
