MTPL insurance is mandatory to all vehicles that are involved in traffic.

In case of an accident, MTPL insurance will reimburse for any damages on your behalf. This includes damage caused to the environment, other vehicles, assets and injuries to any third parties.

Before travelling abroad, please make sure that your vehicles liability is also valid in those countries.

When travelling abroad, you also need to have a printed version of your MTPL insurance policy. That way you can prove that you have valid MTPL insurance.

You are required to have a printed green card when you travel to the following countries.

Insurance cover will apply on the selected date or immediately after the contract has been confirmed. You can print out the policy in the internet bank.

If necessary, you can conveniently print the OCTA policy in the Internet bank section “My contracts”. In this section, you can also apply for termination of the contract in cases where it is permitted by law.

Make sure to call to the Emergency Centre if necessary. If the situation is safe, please notify us in the internet bank as soon as possible.

people are injured;
you do not reach an agreement about who caused the accident;
you have caused damage to someone, but you do not know who owns the vehicle or property;
the situation includes a fire or an explosion;
environmental pollution may occur;
third-party property is damaged or more than two vehicles are involved;
the vehicles involved in the traffic accident have been damaged so that they can not continue their journey.
