Our Accessibility Statement

Our aim is and has always been to offer services that are accessible to everyone. Our accessibility statement outlines our approach and ambitions.

At Swedbank, we are committed to making our website and mobile app accessible in accordance with the Latvian legislation available on "Preču un pakalpojumu piekļūstamības likums". By that we mean website and mobile app content from Swedbank and its subsidiaries, the services of which are offered on our website and mobile app.

This accessibility statement applies to www.swedbank.lv and the mobile app Swedbank Latvija.

We continuously improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards. We want as many people as possible to be able to use our website and mobile app.

For example, that means you should be able to:

  • Change colours, contrast levels and fonts using the browser or device settings
  • Zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
  • Navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
  • Listen to most of the website content using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

Swedbank takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:

  • Including accessibility throughout our internal policies and processes.
  • Integrating accessibility into our procurement practices.
  • Providing continuous accessibility training for our staff.
  • Assigning clear accessibility goals and responsibilities.

We have also made our website and mobile app texts as simple as possible to understand.

These website and mobile applications are mainly compliant with Annex I in the directive (EU) 2019/882.

Accessibility of Swedbank’s digital solutions relies on the following technologies to work with particular combination of web browsers and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer: HTML; WAI-ARIA; CSS and JavaScript.

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the used accessibility standards.

  • Your operating system and browser (e.g., Windows 11 + Chrome, or iOS + Safari)
  • Whether and what kind of assistive technologies you are using (e.g., screen reader, high contrast settings, voice control)
  • Detailed description of your issue

From 23.03.2021 Swedbank Internet Bank and Banklink is no longer available using Internet Explorer browser.

It is not possible to authorize or make payments from Swedbank on other web pages using Internet Explorer.
