Rates for travel insurance via texting:
- Standard rate: LVL 2.00 / day
If you are travelling for business or pleasure, the standard rate will be most suitable for you.
- Active rate: LVL 4.00 / day
The active rate covers leisure activities such as mountain skiing, snowboarding (on established tracks), cross-country skiing, swimming, diving, boating, cycling, golf, paintball, angling, hunting.
How to get insured?
To purchase, by texting:
Standard rate travel insurance, send
ERGO2 sum
Example:
If you go on travel for 10 day, send message with code:
ERGO2 20
where “ERGO2” means daily rate of LVL 2.00 and “20” means the amount of payment – LVL 20.00.

Active rate travel insurance, send
ERGO4 sum
Example:
If you go on travel for 6 day, send message with code:
ERGO4 24
where “ERGO4” means daily rate of LVL 4.00 and “24” means the amount of payment – LVL 24.00.

NOTE! Insurance comes into force within 24h after sending the message and receiving a text confirmation!
Example:
You wish to take a 10-day trip from the 2nd to 11th date. If the text is sent, for example, on the 1st date at 1000 hours, insurance will come into force on the 2nd date at 1000 hours.
After the sending the message you will get two text confirmations:
1. Text from Swedbank – payment has been accepted for execution |
for the confirmed travel insurance validity period. |
2. Text from ERGO (within 15 minutes of text purchase) containing information |
about the authorization code to be entered on www.ergo.lv website in “SMS Policy” section to view and print out your policy and read the terms of insurance. |
