Transactions at cash machines
Swedbank offers the widest cash machine network in Latvia which you can use for withdrawing and depositing cash and other day-to-day fund transactions.
Swedbank debit card
Swedbank debit card helps you make purchases quickly, conveniently and securely and also provides you with access to your funds
Swedbank credit card
Swedbank credit card provides an opportunity to shop in Latvia and all around the world, as well as make payments via Internet banking, book hotel rooms and rent cars.
Using Swedbank debit cards will let you:
- withdraw and deposit cash;
- check and print out account balance;
- check and print our a report about last 5 transactions on your account;
- change your card's PIN;
- unblock you card's PIN in case it has been blocked while making a purchase.
- making transactions and exchanging currencies between customer's accounts in the bank (for debit cards with LVL as base currency);
- recharging OKarte and paying the following bills: LMT, Tele2, Lattelecom, Latvenergo, Latvijas Gāze (for debit cards with LVL as base currency).
Using Swedbank credit cards will let you:
- withdraw and deposit cash;
- check and print out account balance;
- check and print our a report about last 5 transactions on your account;
- change your card's PIN;
- unblock you card's PIN in case it has been blocked while making a purchase.
Using cash deposit machines (CDM):
- It is possible to deposit up to 10 000 LVL at a CDM and it allows for depositing up to 30, 50 or 100 banknotes at a time, depending on CDM type;
- You can deposit banknote s of different face values simultaneously;
- Depositing at a CDM is only available in LVL currency;
- If the card used for the deposit has EUR or USD as principal currency, the deposited amount in LVL will be converted into EUR or USD at Swedbank's exchange rate;
- When depositing cash at a CDM, it is important that the banknotes are straight, well-arranged and that there are no foreign objects among them. Otherwise the CDM might not accept the banknotes.
Using automated teller machines (ATM):
- Cash withdrawal at an ATM is available for up to 500 LVL per one time.
Cash transactions in branches
You may also make your cash transactions in Swedbank branches - making deposits and withdrawals, currency exchange and other:
- Withdrawing cash. There is no limit for withdrawing cash, however, to ensure amounts over 5 000 LVL (or an equivalent in other currency), it is important to make an order in advance. Ordering cash can be done in any Swedbank branch, via Internet banking by writing a bank message or by calling Telephonebank 67 444 444. The order is to be made:
- If you need cash in LVL, EUR or USD - 1 weekday in advance, prior to 13:00;
- For other currencies - 2 weekdays in advance, prior to 13:00;
- Depositing cash - deposit amounts are not limited;
- Currency exchange;
- Turning in damaged or old emission banknotes.
While processing cash operations, for safety purposes a customer's identity is checked by his identification document and the signature sample, registered during account opening.
